Samsung factory in Hungary screening Chinese employees
Samsung’s Hungarian unit near Budapest has put plans in place to screen its Chinese employees in connection with coronavirus, the mayor of Pest County said on Facebook on Monday, adding the authorities have not placed any restrictive measures with regard to the factory.
Gábor Balogh wrote the company had told him that it had established contact with the health authority’s epidemiology department last week and has put in place preventative measures.
Besides quarantine at its plant in Göd, near Budapest, it has stepped up disinfection in common areas of the plant and handed out personal disinfectants in addition to liquid soap.
Employees are also being advised about World Health Organization preventive hygiene rules, the mayor wrote.
